Bamboo flooring

Flooring

Floorbamboo firmly believes that the finished product’s quality depends on the used raw materials. As a matter of fact, it pays specific attention to the selection of the most suitable bamboo type, using culms that grow in bambusetums near catchment areas in hill areas, that present fertile lands and humid climate. It only uses 5/6 year- old luxuriant culms with a long and regular trunk and a robust solid structure. Once the choice is made, the bamboo manufacturing process begins, in order to create flooring laying elements that guarantee a high-quality, extremely resistant and eco-friendly product. After the bamboo canes harvest, the selected ones are transformed into thin layers of the same cut and they are vaporized and dried in order to improve their stability and avoid mildew and parasitic creation. After this treatment, the thin bamboo layers are compacted and manufactured in different ways, until you obtain three different types: the horizontal one, the vertical one and the standard one in order to meet every specific necessity of the environment and to get the wished final result. Floorbamboo offers three different flooring types: • Horizontal type: The bamboo thin layers, that are horizontally arranged, create a “wide” effect that let stand out, thanks to the peculiar knurls, the natural features of the bamboo canes, giving a natural eastern look to the flooring. • Vertical type: The bamboo thin layers, that are vertically arranged, make the knurls less visible and on the contrary let stand out a pleasant and dense feature, with tiny and almost imperceptible knurls, that give a natural but at the same time sophisticated, original and elegant look to the flooring. • Standard type: It is technically formed by pressed bamboo canes filaments that make it basically unchangeable and highly dent-resistant. It is the world’s most resistant natural material for floorings, the so-called nature’s steel. The manufacturing process contributes to bringing out the main quality of this flooring and in particular its hardness. It is more resistant of any other traditional wood flooring and it is three times more resistant than oak wood.
