The Future Lab System is a water-based system that was specifically created to build horizontal and vertical surfaces, gift and fancy goods and interior design items because of its work-ability, technical reliability and use adaptability features. The main goal that led the research to the developing of this product was the environment respect and the Indoor Air Quality excellent performances level. Concerning the CEE 89/106 directive regarding the IAQ: • No environment or subsoil toxic gas production • No pulverulent microparticles production • No radioactivity • No humidity production All the system products follow the 2004/42/CE directive regarding VOC. None of the system products contains NMP traces. These are further positive aspects of the system: • None of the system products is toxic or inflammable; therefore there are no transportation restrictions; • The storage and the conservation of the products are less dangerous and expensive; • Cleaned plastic is easily recycled and reused in a shorter time in the producing process and using less complicated processes compared to others; • There is cost control and low environmental impact concerning products and containers disposal and concerning the disposal of the equipment used in the producing process. The production cycle does not produce carbon dioxide emissions, in addition to this there are no emissions and there is an extremely low amount of waste that are in any case reintroduced in the recycling process or disposed of, following specific legislation. As regards the raw materials origin, they all come from EU countries, especially from Italy, Belgium and Germany (there is a guarantee of origin, legality and transparency). The selected mineral-fillers and the packing materials come from Italy. The system has the following features: • Transpirability • Absence of hydraulic binders (gypsum, cement, lime) • Absence of epossidic resins • Excellent dirt and stain resistance • Excellent flexibility and plasticity • Not toxic The covering system is a multilayer system characterized by an innovative LK-MALTA CREATIVA smooth render with synthetic resins and quartz crystals of different size. The system is a multilayer product formed by different elements; You can use it on floorings or on wall coverings and it is an excellent solution in renovations. The system is composed of the following parts/layers: a. LK-PRIMER X: synthetic resins-based primer in water emulsion. It is a polymer emulsions mixture specifically for cement surfaces, in order to prevent the cement surface pulverizing that would not allow the multilayer covering adhesion; It is completely water-based, it has got an excellent water resistance (you can only apply it as a bottom primer on cement, lime or gypsum-based plasters or smooth renders, on absorbent anhydrite screeds, self-leveling screeds, cement-based smooth renders and leveling, concrete, cement screeds and gypsum panels. Do not use on tiles, wood, stone, marble, rubber, pvc or materials that have no traces of cement, lime or gypsum). b. LK waterproofer: specific waterproofing sheath, especially for shower stalls and bath tubs. It is a resin waterproofing monocomponent membrane, it is a complex synthetic polymers mixture in water emulsion and thin mineral-fillers. Excellent water resistance and elasticity. It can be applied outdoors or indoors. It has no traces of lime, cement or gypsum. Excellent adhesion on heterogeneous supports. Indicated for indoor and outdoor environments, floors, walls, ceilings and interior design items. c. LK – MONOFIX: adhesive mortar for bottom preparation smoothing and mesh fixing. It is a monocomponent ready-to-use complex mixture of synthetic polymers in water emulsion and mineral-fillers, it is breathable, water resistant, elastic, flexible. It has excellent adhesion, easy application, it has no traces of lime, cement or gypsum (it does not contain hydraulic binders); Indicated for outdoor and indoor environments (after proper preparation), for floors, walls and ceilings. d. LK- MALTA CREATIVA (artistic mortar): Sealing and protective mortar for low-thickness smoothings. Monocomponent and ready-to-use. Specifically for continuous surfaces. It is a complex mixture of synthetic polymers in water emulsion and mineral-fillers; Breathable, excellent water resistance, good plasticity, it has no traces of lime, cement or gypsum. e. MALTA DECORO (decorative mortar): Sealing and protective mortar for low-thickness vertical decorative smoothings. Monocomponent and ready-to-use. Complex mixture of polymers in water emulsion and mineral-fillers; Breathable, excellent water, acidic and alkali substances resistance. It is self-dispersant and flexible. It can be applied outdoors and indoors. Indicated also for wide surfaces thanks to its self-dispersant high power. It has no traces of lime, cement or gypsum. Excellent adhesion, good mechanical resistance. It gives the possibility to create high resistance and high decorative level vertical monolithic surfaces. The system contributes with several credits to the LEED international rating.
