Composite marble, resin bonded (grains 0-15 mm) Flooring – Façades - Step Covering – Window Sills – Topps etc. Our composite marble is composed by approximately 95% of marble chips and -powder and approx. 5% of polyester resin as bonding agent and some colour pigments and additives. The recycled content of the marble chips and marble powder is approx. 20%-90%. Natural marble chips, resin and the additives are mixed in a vacuumized procedure, the mixture is filled into a mould and then compacted under high pressure in a second vacuumized procedure. A controlled heat development takes place, as well as a chemical reaction of the resin, resulting in a complete covering of the natural stone chips by the resin, forming a homogeneous block of stone, that can be processed, after being extracted from the mould, like a block of natural stone.
